1906: First Marriages

February 14th

With the bridegroom’s vow and civil authorization obtained by the Rev. Curia of Padua and put into effect with 3 canonical publications on 3 successive Sundays: January 7th, 14th, and 21st; then, no impediment being discovered, the parties submitted to mutual questioning at Mass to give their verbal mutual consent before those present, today on February 14 in the oratory of Incin, the Rev. Don Baldassarre Girardi, under license by the rev. pastor of Rocca Don Luigi Moccellin, to consecrate the marriage of:

Giuseppe Zancanaro, son of Angelo and of Pasqua Dal Molin, born in this parish on May 14th, 1880 and residing always here with the exception of some time spent abroad or in the military

and:

Valentina Zancanaro, daughter of Giovanni and of Maria Zancanaro, born in this parish on February 14th, 1888, and residing always here. 

Scriptures were: […]

During holy mass the nuptial blessings were delivered in accordance with the rites of the church.

A second marriage merits reporting, and was celebrated in Incin on February 6, 1907

With the bridegroom’s vow and civil authorization obtained by the Rev. Capitular Curia and put into effect with 3 canonical publications on the successive Sundays of January 6th, 13th, and 20th, there appearing to be no canonical impediment, the Rev. Don Girardi Baldassarre, after mutual questioning, secured the mutual consent of the undersigned and today in the oratory of Incin joined in holy matrimony: 

Giuseppe Zancanaro, son of Giacomo Zancanaro and Giacoma Zancanaro, born in this parish on August 16th, 1881, and residing always here with the exception of time spent abroad, Catholic, celibate, farmer

with:

Teresa Zancanaro, daughter of Giuseppe Zancanaro and Angela Borsa, born in this parish on July 7, 1888, and residing always here, Catholic, unmarried. 

Witnesses: Giovanni Borsa and Giovanni Zancanaro (Pataco). 

During holy mass the nuptial blessings of were delivered in accordance with the rites of the Holy Mother Church.

N.B. After the wedding it was discovered that the two were fourth-degree blood relations and were required to separate. Dispensation from the canonical impediment was immediately requested of the Holy Seat and it was obtained on March 2nd, as proscribed by the Holy Penitentery, and the marriage was renewed on the day of March 30th, 1907.

Teresa is still remembered as Jeja, while Giuseppe was the brother of Jaco Bel.
